St. James Secondary Religious Education (SRE): 7th-12th Grades
Registration for Secondary Religious Education (SRE) is open for all 7th-12th graders for the 2025-2026 school year. Families planning on enrolling should first be sure to
register as members of St. James Parish.
St. James SRE offers opportunities for junior-high and high-school students to learn about their faith, serve others, and connect with their faith community in order to grow as Catholics and deepen their relationship with Jesus.
The St. James SRE program features the following opportunities for 7th-12th graders
- Preparation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation
- Small faith-learning groups on topics such as the Bible, the Mass, Theology of the Body, Catholic Social Teaching, and frequently asked questions about the Catholic faith
- Service projects
- Social and prayer activities
- Leadership with the Elementary Religious Education program
- Participation in Masses and parish ministries
Once registered, students will have the opportunity to enroll in preparation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation or in small faith-learning groups of their choice.
Classes take place weekly on Wednesday evenings.
The program runs from September 3rd, 2025 - May 6, 2026.
We will kick off the year on September 3rd, 2025, at 7 pm with an Opening Prayer and Information session that parents are invited to join.
