We provide students with information about the teachings of the Church and encourage them to provide Chistian service to their parish and community.

Registration forms are available on the side of the church, in the Parish School of Religion office and in the Rectory.

Unbaptized Students (Grades 2-6)...or students who have not received the Sacraments of Reconciliation or Eucharist can receive these Sacraments by participating in a special program, Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC). Classes begin in October. Please leave a message for Gloria at the PSR office, 762-9063.

Preschool. We offer a Sunday preschool program during the 9:00 a.m. Mass (September through April) for pre-K and Kindergarten children. We have lots of fun, singing songs, playing games and learning about God's love. Each Sunday, we have an age appropriate lesson which includes a song, craft, play time and snack time. Registration forms may be picked up in the back of the church, in the parish center during office hours or at the rectory.

Elementary. If you would like information regarding teaching in the PSR Elementary program, please call the PSR office, 762-9063, and leave a message for Gloria.

Generations of Faith. Our new program to involve all family members in the religious education of our children. We are starting with second and third grade students and will expand the program to all grades in the future. Click here for information about this exciting new program.

Junior High. We are always looking for adults to volunteer their time and talents. Call Nancy 763-8122. Junior High classes meet on Wednesdays, 7:30-8:45 p.m.

Youth Ministry. Thank you to all of the adults who helped to make this year's summer program one of the best. Another big 'Thank You' to our teens for sharing the joy of your faith with us! Our Fall program started in September. We meet in the Parish Center on Tuesday evenings at 7:30-8:45 p.m. Questions, please call Nancy 763-8122.

Catechists - The role of the catechist has always been an important one in the Church. The Vatican II document says that "catechists...make an outstanding and absolutely necessary contribution to the spread of the faith and the Church by their great work." You can support the catechists in your parish in many ways. Here are three: (1) Begin by praying for all catechists-they need the prayers and support of the parish community all year long, not just on Catechetical Sunday; (2) volunteer your time to help as a catechetical aide or assistant; and (3) Give serious consideration to becoming a catechist yourself.

Vacation Bible School - A great way to spend a few summer days learning about Christ in a fun-filled and Spirit-filled environment, with not only other children of the parish, but children from other churches in our community. The coordinators, Roberta Guerra and Carolyn Maloney received the City of Petaluma Healthy Community Award for their work in 2000.
